“Some rap shit, some spiritual, some trap shit, some lyrical...”, pretty much sums up, Itsjustinmills and what he brings to the game with his music.
A student of the game started at home with his theater acting mother and funk bass playing father. It was only right that the arts are in his blood.
His lyrical content ranges from spirituality, which he was raised on to everyday situations of a young black male trying to make it in America.
When asked how can he speak both ways, he simply replies,
“I’m human, some days I’m crying out to GOD, while other days I don’t even know if He exists and if what’s being manifested is of my own doing. I’m honest in that. I think we all should be. We should always question and search for truth and understanding and should be always evolving”.
Born in the 80’s growing up in the 90’s in the East Coast, Connecticut to be exact. His roots and style reflect that. Though the 90’s West Coast sound played a major role in his writing and beat selection.
“Listening to my father who plays bass and my uncle who plays acoustic and electric guitar in their band growing up, the songs that they would cover, I found a lot of west coast artists sampling”.
